Our funds
Education for all

The Monsoon Accessorize Trust is committed to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goal 4, to gain inclusive and equitable quality education for all. By educating children we give the next generation the tools to fight poverty and encourage them to be advocates for change. A quality education lays the foundations for a child’s future and teachers are the catalysts who can make this happen. Equipping teachers to address the diverse needs of children and engage them in meaningful learning is an urgent necessity if we are to address the crisis in education in developing countries.

  • • To give access to quality basic education in rural and urban areas
  • • To create a sustainable approach to tackle lack of education in rural areas
  • • To have a holistic approach to achieving your developmental objective
  • • To have an angle of environmentally friendliness to your approach
  • • To have the ability to show the theory of change and provide quarterly updates of your impact
Poverty fund

Linked to the sustainable development goal 1 – No Poverty – the trust supports projects to create a sustainable income generating activity, using participatory approaches, with a focus on protecting the local environment. Promoting women’s empowerment and making sure that every aspect of the project-management cycle puts women at the forefront.

  • • To improve community capacities by increasing access to services and productive facilities
  • • To reinforce community resilience and social cohesion by promoting beneficiary participation, engagement and representation for self-reliance
  • • To promote sustainable income-generating activities (and foster a culture of entrepreneurship) encouraging joint-venture businesses through community groups and private-sector inclusion
  • • To facilitate increased household income for the wellbeing of the most vulnerable and marginalised beneficiaries
Community healthcare fund

The fund’s main priority is to provide healthcare for mothers and children – and help break down the vicious cycle of inequity, linked back to sustainable development goal 10 – Reduced Inequalities. This includes access to basic hygiene practices and sanitation, and nutritional care to help prevent stunting which affects millions of children across the world. Better community health has immediate benefits. In the long term, these benefits translate into higher life expectancy, a more productive labour force, increased wages and savings and lower treatment costs, ultimately fuelling a cycle of growth and greater investments in the economy.

  • • To provide access to basic healthcare for the most marginalised and vulnerable people in rural communities
  • • To strengthen community-level services, such as health workers and antenatal care
  • • To strengthen facilities-based care, including postnatal services for mothers and babies
  • • To increase immunisation services, including capacity, supply and demand
