Coco’s Tea Party: My Perfect Holiday Wardrobe

Jetting off abroad? Inspire your holiday wardrobe with lifestyle blogger Ella from Coco’s Tea Party as she talks us through her city break essentials, as part of our new Tales of Summer campaign for SS17.

When packing for a summer city break or holiday, I always choose a colour palette for the trip so that I can create multiple outfits out of fewer pieces. With that in mind, here are the pieces taking pride of place in my suitcase, straight from the SS17 collection at Monsoon.

1. Sophie Linen Stripe Shift Dress, £59

This linen shift dress is perfect for a busy day of exploring – whether that involves a visit to a museum or a spot of shopping. It looks great worn with flat shoes (a must as you’ll probably be on your feet all day), and acts as a fantastic base for colourful accessories.

2. Cleo Lace-Up Espadrilles, £39

I never travel without a pair of espadrilles as they’re just so comfortable. I fell head-over-heels for these lace-up flats – the bold red colour is a great way to add interest to your look, especially if you’ve gone for quite a neutral colour palette.

3. Fliss Botanical Print Lace-Up Blouse, £45

No holiday wardrobe is complete without a bohemian-inspired blouse, and this botanical-print design is the ideal day-to-night piece! Its lightweight style will keep you cool and protect your shoulders from the powerful midday sun.

4. Zoe Metallic Cami Dress, £59

If you want to make a statement in the evening, you can’t beat this shimmering gold slip dress. The ‘90s-inspired style is really on-trend at the moment, and looks just as good paired with heels and delicate jewellery as it does toughened up with a biker jacket and trainers. I’m obsessed!

5. Embroidered Pouch, £25

Pouches are so useful when you’re travelling! You can use them to store boarding passes, booking documents or beauty supplies whilst you’re in motion, and then carry them as a clutch bag once you reach your destination. This embroidered design is really beautiful and will pop against a simple evening outfit.
