For five days, I visited the beautiful city of Barcelona. As this was my first time in the city, I was super-excited to discover everything that it had to offer and received the longest list of recommendations to ensure I did just that! For the first two or three days, a friend and I attended Primavera Sound, a music festival which takes place annually at Parc del Fòrum by the most gorgeous sea front. I was honestly blown away by the size and production of the festival, the variety of stages and incredible acts they had performing. I also got to see my style icon Solange Knowles perform, which was one of my holiday highlights. My last few days were spent exploring the beautiful streets and architecture of Barcelona, visiting famous landmarks and museums and soaking up the sun on serene sandy beaches. One of my favourite places we visited was a restaurant called El Nacional, located at the heart of Passeig de Gràcia. The decadent interior, unique characteristics and overall experience was like nothing I had ever felt or seen before. My other favourite destination had to be La Pedrera, designed by the great visionary Antoni Gaudi. If I had to describe Barcelona and my overall experience in two words, it would be breathtakingly beautiful.

As Barcelona is known for its pleasant warm weather, I tried to pack outfits that were simple yet versatile, lightweight and suitable for both day and night. The first look I wore was the Joan wide-leg jumpsuit – the fabric was light, airy, and perfect for exploring town as well as dressing down for the festival. My second look was the linen jacket which I paired with the matching trousers. I styled the suit with a gorgeous straw hat and bag and incorporated a vibrant pop of colour. For dinner, I wore the Pandora short-sleeve jumpsuit – I loved the delicate cut-out detailing, oversized bow and pleats across the front which were super-flattering. It provided the perfect balance of smart and casual.

1. Have a think about the places you want to see and visit before booking your accommodation. My friend and I found a super-affordable hotel just outside of Barcelona, however this meant taking a 20 minute taxi ride every time we wanted to go out. Planning the distance between your desired destinations to visit will be more cost-effective, time-saving and convenient.
2. Pack smart and plan your outfits! I am notorious for over packing and carrying multiple items of clothing that I know I will never get the chance to wear. Limiting and planning your outfits ahead will ensure you take exactly what you need, prevent wardrobe malfunctions and help with decision-making on holiday.
3. If you’re visiting Barcelona, I’d recommend going to El Nacional Barcelona for incredible food and interiors, La Pedrera for breathtaking rooftop views and the Little Beach House Barcelona – it has a beautiful retro interior and sea views.
